TMC and Crossfire Media announced yesterday that AT&T will sponsor Fast Pitch.This will be at the M2M Evolution Conference & Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 11 -14, where AT&T is also its Diamond Sponsor together with Ericsson and Sprint.
The M2M Expo is for M2M companies looking at developing, integrating and deploying machine-to-machine and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, and open to all IT consultants, M2M developers and enthusiasts. The expo will involve participants into a complete immersion into the Internet of Things, having the agenda of providing supply chain and fleet management techniques, retails solutions to improve customer experience as well as improvement on point of sales experience, to mention a few.
Clovis Lacerda, CEO of LeadingQuest and Parlacom, one of the largest M2M providers both in the US and Brazil, thinks that this is a good opportunity for participants to experience complete and full immersion into the Internet of Things. And an equally great opportunity for start-up developers and entrepreneurs to collaborate with big players in the industry in creating new applications, solutions and services for better customer experience.
Fast Pitch encourages M2M companies and individuals to "pitch" in their ideas and share resources to facilitate developmental growth. AT&T execs in turn will give out prizes for these ideas. The event will start on Wednesday night and winners will be announced the following day, August 14. Cash prizes and an iPad awaits the winners. They will aso be given recognition by AT&T for their creativity and innovation based on two awards: Best Overall and People's Choice.
Mr. Lacerda understands that giving recognition to the great ideas is essential in the growth of the market. "It will cultivate web of ideas and solutions for different industries where M2M technology can be applied. At this point in time, M2M is applicable in almost every sector and events such as this will surely help sustain the increasing demands of the market.
Participants from M2M companies may share their pitches on various media tools such as Powerpoint or even do live demos. Participants are also required to bring their own ideas, presentation and a laptop. Entries must not exceed the required three-minute duration.
